The Pharma-X heat exchanger uses a unique triple-tube structure with a tube-in-tube design, where the product liquid flows through the central tube and the heating/cooling medium flows through the inner and outer tubes. Additionally, spiral coils are arranged in each flow path to create uniform gaps between the flow paths and increase heat transfer efficiency. Turbulence minimizes the risk of biofilm formation. The three tubes and spirals are bent at a 180-degree angle to form a U-shape. Due to its compact design, space can be utilized optimally. The U-tube absorbs thermal expansion, allowing it to function effectively across a wide temperature range as a cooling and heating device, and it is also capable of steam sterilization.
